What boots up must come down. Although I'm a Gentoo user, I have to laugh along with that page, because there are definitely people who take the "source is better" perspective a bit too far. It's also of note, however, that the author of that page has picked the worst of the worst comments from the Gentoo forums and other places on the web. It's definitely easy to paint Gentoo in a bad light when you only takes quotes from the retards. For example, one quote talked about Debian vs Gentoo and complained about dependencies(!) and then asks if Debian has anything like Portage... You see, he shouldn't even be comparing Gentoo vs Debian because if he doesn't know about apt-get, then he's never even *READ* about Debian. Obviously he's not qualified to compare those two distributions! Anyway, I got quite a few laughs out of that page, but I'll still continue to use Gentoo, because I like Portage and Gentoo's configuration scheme. To each their own! (Oh and there's nothing wrong with an import so long as you ACTUALLY mod it UNDER the hood. There are a couple fast eclipses around here). - Ibanez ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ ú ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ The Bit Bucket BBS Http, Telnet, FTP: Address 1: bitbucket.homedns.org Address 2: bitbucket.zapto.org ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ ú ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ --- þ Synchronet þ The BitBucket BBS - bitbucket.homedns.org .
