to make life 100x easier, i'd installed all the KDE stuff including the
programs, casue well thay rock.  but you can then run Fluxbox as your WM which
is very light and fast, and then you can run all your kde programs in Fluxbox
and it's very nice, from Konqueror, Konsole, to Kdevelop, Koffice.

Bascially Konqueror is worth it and makes everything 100x easier, in Konqueror
you have point and click access to all file like in windows, clikc to open,
view, arhcive, if you have mplayer and kmplayer you can ealier click to view
movies, then archive them later on or delete and copy shit around.
