"That defeats the purpose" I hear you say. Some people really really really like Portage (I know I love it). I also find that the entire distro is pretty easy to configure anyhow. I like how they lay out /etc. That in itself is enough of a reason for me to put it on pretty much any machine and set it up quickly with prebuilt binaries. I can tweak later when I compile updates (though you cannot tweak some things if you didn't compile your system "from scratch"). I've done about a dozen stage one installs - some for myself and some for others. Oh and I hear they are working on a graphical installer to sugarcoat the process! Should be interesting to see how that pans out. ;) - Ibanez ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ ú ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ The Bit Bucket BBS Http, Telnet, FTP: Address 1: bitbucket.homedns.org Address 2: bitbucket.zapto.org ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ ú ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ --- þ Synchronet þ The BitBucket BBS - bitbucket.homedns.org .
