Subj : trying to get on dove-net

I have just set up Synchronet and have tried to get a qnet setup with the VERT
BBS.
I have a BBS name of dansilgru, so the short name should be dansilgr.
I have specified a password in the config progam as such:
&qnet-ftp VERT dove.synchro.net xxxxxxxxx
where xxxxxxxxxx is my password.
I get this when I try to force a call-out
!ftp_login failed socket_error=0
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
