Subj : Vector and Gentoo To : All From : Fornow Date : Thu Apr 28 2005 05:17 am I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with Vector Linux, specifically the SOHO version. It seems to be a pretty decent distribution (I've been using it for a few weeks now), but the software with it isn't always complete with working help options (Gimp and AbiWord in particular), and picking up new versions to be able to hopefully get the help (with the vlapt tool, which I really like) can be problematic. Anyone have any suggestions? BTW, VL is Slackware based, FYI. I'm using IceWM with it... my first experience with that window manager... and I really like it... it's light and quick and looks good. As for Gentoo, does anyone have any experience or opinions on that distro? Thanks. --- þ Synchronet þ Origin: The Hard Drive Cafe - Montgomery Al USA - www.hdcbbs.net .
