Actually, I've never had a problem with Debians X side... don't use it often, but, when I configure the system to have it, it seems to work. I use my Linux boxes for primarily for storage... The vast majority of my files are on the samba shares... including the CD's I have online... I have 4 CD's that are online via the Linux machines... All my music is hosted on one of the Debian boxes... :) All the Movies are on samba shares... Then I have my Debian workstation... its not involved with the BBS stuff, except for doing the messages, its my desktop that I use for just about everything else... except for my financial computer which holds my Quickbooks setup... If I could find a financial software that was worth a damn, that was natively Linux, and didn't cost and arm and a leg, with options on all my kids for the rest of their lives...I'd run it, but the GNU Cash, basically sucks and anything else costs more than I will make in the next 5 years... Some times, its rather confusing... ;) Sniper Killed In Action BBS, telnet://kiabbs.org Home of the Unofficial SynchroNet Support Network. download the info pack at any of the below sites: http://www.chcomputer.net/USSNET.ZIP or http://www.ussnet.org ....
