Subj : Remote Dial-In Networking To : ALL From : MIKE POWELL Date : Fri Apr 08 2005 05:53 pm I have a small, home network that includes a debian box, and a Win98SE box. I am hooked up to the internet via cable. I would like to be able to dial into my home network, from remote, using possibly as little as Arachne for DOS, and be able to access my home internet connection. Mostly, I would want to be able to dial-in, and then use telnet to access an e-mail account. However, I might also want to do some surfing, either via Arachne on the remote, or by using lynx on the machine that I have dialed-in on. Is this possible? I think that I have seen packages for debian, as well as an option under Windows setup, that might allow this. I guess I am wondering, if the machine that is dialing-in has to be running the same OS, or even package, as the machine being dialed into.
