Subj : linux firewire part 2 To : All From : Ibanez Date : Tue Feb 22 2005 11:30 pm Hello again! Well, did a two reboots to test the detection of the drives at bootup. Both times it worked fine. I emerged the mdadm package (mdadm == replacement for redhats raidtools). After a little mdadm magic: # mdadm --create /dev/md0 --level=1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/sda /dev/sdb I've got a raid1 array synchronizing as I type this post (using the wonderful linux syncterm). w00t. Doing "cat /proc/mdstat" I can see that my array is at 26.3% into the resync of the drives. I love it when stuff works ;) Oh yeah, almost forgot... the mount point for my array is /sbbs. *wink* - Ibanez ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ ú ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ The Bit Bucket BBS Http, Telnet, FTP: Address 1: bitbucket.homedns.org Address 2: bitbucket.zapto.org ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ ú ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ --- þ Synchronet þ The BitBucket BBS - bitbucket.homedns.org .
