I think one should consider doing like lawyers do, and have a retainer account/credit that you work from.. let the client know when the funds are going to run dry, and stop work if/when they do... Been in the same situation a few times didn't get paid, or got paid way less or just ate what time went over the original quote (even though the client changed spec). -- Michael J.
