The syncterm dir expects to be in the src dir along with xpdev, conio, uifc,
and sbbs3 when building.

I've discovered the cause of the segfaults... in a nutshell, you can't
statically link a network program in Linux and expect it to work.  Using only
dynamically linked binaries now, so it should Just Work.
