thanks.. i wrote that down so the next time i install linux i can do that. i 
got fed up with linux this morning and blew it away... put Win9x back on the 
system.. i should have just waited i know.. but samba was pissing me off and 
instead of sitting and figuring why it wouldn't work.. i said phuck it.. 
windows works
