Are you an asshole or what?

I make no secret of the fact that I wish to develop this particular 
application for myself.  It is my hobby.  Do you think I plan to write my 
own CD ripper?  My own encoder?  My own webserver?  My own RDBMS?  Maybe I 
should only collect CD's that I recored in the first place?

Why don't you recommend that Digital Man stop all this Synchronet 
development and just use PCBoard or something?  Or maybe you can recommend 
some crap you found on the net?  After all, if he's going to write his own 
BBS he has to start by developing his own compiler first, right?

So please don't waste your breath making suggestions which I have already 
declined, OK?  Save yourself the effort.
