Strange.

installed the NASM package for Slackware (nasm-0.98.38-i486-1) and ran 
make.  The two executables were generated.  When run, they produce no 
output.  Even

	urlencode -h

and 	urlencode -r

fail to produce any output.  The makefile is so simple even *I* can follow 
it, and nasm is producing statically linked ELF binaries.
