Obviously, you reboot when you must, but I for one CAN'T WAIT for them to 
devise a way to reload the kernel without shutting down my applications!  

And it's also high time we introduced hot-swappable hardware!  I hate to 
have to reboot just because I'm changing the drive with / on it.  Or the 
motherboard or something!
