.... is effectively down again, after being up for a brief period.  When it's
up, it's a marvelous source of the kind of files that BBSes used to carry, up
to some time in 2002.  It was up for at least a couple of weeks until maybe
yeterday, but now all you can do is browse the listings, not download
anything-- at least in all the areas I have tried.

Nobody there seems to care anymore.  Last time it was down, it was months.  I
have no idea whether this is because when it's up, it gets too much use or
too little.  They're now a for-profit outfit, so there's no obligation to
serve non-members of course, but it's still a pity.  The yo-yo behavior of
this erstwhile cornucopia is one of the reasons I've decided to try some
sysopping again. Fortunately, I have already obtained much of what interests m 
e there, but now wish I had downloaded a few more doors.  

Is anyone else here familiar with this site?
