I have been having problems with my mail lately, others have had the
same or similar problems and others have had problems with other
various aspects of running sync successfully.

I'm sure, given time (enough time) all of these issues would be
resolved. However I would like to request some sort of all
encompassing debugger program. This program would be the swiss army of
problem solvers (or at least problem identifier)

I would like to suggest that one of the things this AED program be
able to do is combine in a single screen a way to find and analize the
various error messages that can come up with in the different server
windows. Be EVENT or MAIL or what have you. I know that there is a
brief message given in these windows but I feel that they are wholely
lacking in explination for the common/average NON programming sysop.

AND that they don't explain or give a indication as to what should be
a course of action.

For example, an error occours in the mail window, You clikc on the
mail menu item and an entry there could be AED (All encompassing
Debugger). Clicking on that would start a window that would analize
the most recent errors in (Mail) and present some possible areas to
look at. No configured subs to scann or no internet connection found.)
If it the message says No subs selected for scanning, then an editing
window could be started to see if that is in fact the case and allow
the sysop to at that time add subs. OR move on the a secondary cause.
Failing all of that, start a Email session with logs relevant to the
error, already attatched to the Email. (to ROB of course (-:)

This AED could be part of a NEW sysops check out program, you know
like the wizzard, where you are presented with config options.

Anyway it seems that MAIL is a rather reoccouring problem with a few
sysops. That and the initial setup.

Well I feel slightly better.
