Font drivers?!? :-) AM>I dunno what a font *driver* is, but if you use 'setfont' on Slackware >(and presumably other distros as well) you can load console screen fonts. Driver was my term.. I guess the utility replaces the standard DOS system font with something a little easier to read. I assume you can change fonts easily if you go into Win 3.1 although it's so long since I've run that I'm not sure offhand where to look. I found a little replacement for Notepad called Super Notepad (put out by PC Magazine) that runs in Win 3.1 and can take files of any size memory can handle, adds search and replace options and displays in any font you like. (48k) That would be handy on these little screens for any simple text work.. (with my poor old eyes) B) It's just a toy for now because I got it free. If it had enough memory to run a decent OS, which would give me at least E-Mail access, I'd be more excited about the whole thing but you can't do much with 8 meg and it's apparently (so far) pretty difficult to find these odd-ball Toshiba 88 pin flat plastic DRam memory modules cheap.. Looks like an oversized Compact Flash card from my digital camera.. --- þ SLMR Rob þ Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names þ þ PDQWK 2.52 #17 --- þ BgNet 1.0á12 ÷ Capitol City Online * KY * 502/8758938 v34 * cco.ath.cx .
