Its a heat tranfer printer which uses labels which are on a roll , fed through the system at which point the head tranfers a barcode using ink paper(that is not transferrable without heat) onto the paper. I think the one we use is relativly small compared to what you are talking about but maybe if this is the sort of thing you want i could find out the company details for you to get in contact and see if they do something more suited to your requirements.
