DM>Looks that way. You might have better luck with an NT-based OS (e.g. >WinNT/2K/XP) whether 16-bit DOS programs run in an emulated environment. One of the DOS programs that I run frequently is Doom II via modem and Win XP can't handle that at all. Doom II started out as a 386 program but really, with the newer monster levels now, it pretty much takes a minimum MMX200 with 32 meg to manage it and XP doesn't allow near those resources for their Dos (Win 95?) emulation or whatever it is.. It just crawls.. It actually runs fine here other than it generates some heat, and at least the newer P4 processors will drop their clock speed if it starts to get hotter than it likes so I guess it's not a big deal. It just seemed strange that it was happening. --- þ SLMR Rob þ Some things have to be believed to be seen þ þ PDQWK 2.52 #17 --- þ BgNet 1.0á12 ÷ Capitol City Online * KY * 502/8758938 v34 * cco.ath.cx .
