AFAIK windows is pretty good at using memory as well as possible.. a fair amount of codepages in memory, stay there for a bit, as does the file caching, it clears stuff out when it is no longer needed, and something else comes into place.. wouldn't worry about ram, unless you say have 128mb, running winxp, and after bootup (before running anything) it says you have < 10mb available... 1) need more ram.. 2) too much systray crap.. -- Michael J.
