For anyone smarter in Windows, than me.

1.) I keep losing my connection. But that is not entirely correct. I have
connection but I suspect something is happeneing to the TCP socket(s) if
I can make anything out of the various messages I get from different
programs.

Agent says, 
Error reported by winsock driver: Not enough memory to initialize driver
[Error 10055]; Connecting to news.cbou.com

SBBS[FTP Window] says:
 6/7  12:59:08p  Executing external: *qnet-ftp VERT bbs.synchro.net xxx
 6/7  12:59:08p  QNET-FTP: VERT bbs.synchro.net xxxxxx

Is this common amoung Windows users' experience?

If not what might I do to stop this memory leak?

2.) How do you turn on TEXT-To-Speach?
Windows wont tell me. It shows how to select form a list of one item
which voice I would care to listen to. But not how to turn the bloody
thing on.
-- Opera has this feature, where by you can issue simple voice commands
and it will if understood, carry them out (Opera 8.0)

Which brings me to ...
3.) I had a microphone and it didn't sem to work. I took it to Radio
Shack and asked them if they could test it. It didn't seem to record So
I went to Walmart and got a table top model. Which doesn't seem to work.
<sigh>

As with the mic that came with the card, I tested it with the record
funtion. Both mic's failed. Although both mic's showed up on the sound
card util. (they both disappear when removed)

Microsoft's web page is not very friendly, so if there is some online
documentation at microsoft's site, I didn't see it.

For extra credit:
I have an ATI all-in-wonder video/TV card, Worked great under Win95 but
no drivers were made availible for 98,ME etc.
Now it's again supported under XP (it seems). Yet I can't get it to
work.

The Error message reads:
The TV player failed to initialize the video.

Check the Windows Device Manager to ensure the correct video driver has
been installed and is working properly before attempting to restart TV.

Then the util pops up...checks the video card and issues a report (non
capturable/printible)

Any HELP / suggestions are apprciated.
