Sounds like it doesn't need any more stress than it already has..   B)

I thought thermal as well. Sometimes people will set the shut down
from overheat temp so low that the processor hits it almost immediately
but he said he wiped the bios settings and, if it were a setting,
it would have to be at a bios level to effect things that early..

Hopefully he thought to try Bios Defaults rather than Enhanced
Bios Settings in case something there is acting up..
