I have 3 fairly "Normal" CD Burners... They all work under Windows, using Nero 6... :) I've also tried all 3 drives under Linux, reconfigured the system, did all the normal stuff... the system see's the drive, recognizes it as a CD-drive. Under cdrecord and other programs, it says the drive is a CD-Rom. Nothing I've found tweaks, fixes, etc., have fixed this. Each is a different brand name, but, none are listed in that "List" either. Supposedly, that list is not an all inclusive list either. Anyway, its just a bitch... the drives work quite well under Windows... So, I'll continue to split.
