I found the easiest way to avoid that is to create a "Limited" account that's just for "Her"... She has grasped the concept of logging in to her own account... and when some "Infect the computer/network with the virus of the day" tries to install because she invariably click on some popup or other... its denied. I've also got her stated learning how to use X. She's learned how to press the "Alt F7" to change to the GUI interface... log in to her account... and then she's able to check her e-mail or browse the web to her hearts content... I'll eventually ween her off the M$ stuff. :) I guess its also a good thing that she's completely computer illiterate so her learning Linux isn't that hard to do. :) Sniper Killed In Action BBS, telnet://kiabbs.org Home of the Unofficial SynchroNet Support Network. download the info pack at any of the below sites: http://www.chcomputer.net/USSNET.ZIP or http://www.ussnet.org ....
