If it comes pre-installed, or if you buy your hardware with
Linux in mind, and don't expect to be able to use all your
old Windows software with it, it should be pretty good..
If you're like most people and buy a cheap machine and expect
Linux to auto-detect and run on it you may run into a fair number
of problems with 'Win' hardware.

Speaking of..  does anyone know whether Linux can use the
onboard sound in recent ASUS (P4P800S) Motherboards yet ?
Let's see..  Devive Manager calls it SoundMAX Integrated
Digital Audio - 6 channel surround-sound... although I'd
settle for Stereo..   B)
