If your computer can boot to CD they boot up giving you the option of booting from the CD or the Hard drive. Looks exactly like this: Microsoft Windows 98 CD-ROM Startup Menu IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII 1. Boot from Hard Disk 2. Boot from CD-ROM Enter your choice: Time remaining: 03 If you select the CD, it boots to this screen: Microsoft Windows 98 Startup Menu IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII 1. Start Windows 98 Setup from CD-ROM. 2. Start computer with CD-ROM support. 3. Start computer without CD-ROM support. Enter a choice: 1 Time remaining: 25 And since I did this with an original Win98 CD, (not the Win98SE), that proves that they worked also.
