Subj : Win98se And Mem-Stick To : ANGUS MCLEOD From : ROB MCCART Date : Sat Apr 23 2005 04:45 pm AM>I popped over to a friend the other day, who happens to be running >Win98SE. It's fully up to date, except for a buncha "Korean language >Support" and so forth. AM>Stuck in my USB memory stick and... nothing. AM>Windows recognised new hardware, didn't have a driver, checked Windows >Update and couldn't find anything to get my memory stick working. I >thought USB 2.0 support weas USB 2.0 support? They Really mean that it supports USB2 port access. External Storage Device support isn't included with ANY Win 9x version other than Win ME. Each device requires it's own driver and generic ones that are supposed to work with everything often don't. I know, as I've been trying for ages to get an external USB Box (Stick any type of drive in it you like) going for some time with Win 98SE and I'm having no luck.. --- þ SLMR Rob þ click...click...click..Damn... out of taglines! þ þ PDQWK 2.52 #17 --- þ BgNet 1.0á12 ÷ Kentucky's Capitol City Online * 502/875-8938 * USR v34 .
