I have an old Maxtor 120MB IDE drive that came with my 386dx40.  It was the
primary (boot) drive on my BBS system for quite a number of years, and it
has been in and out of that PC, and maybe another, since then.

I have never had a problem with it.  I guess maybe their quality control
has slipped some since 1990-91.  ;-)
