Personally, I'd rather have it shrink than goober it.  LCD display goobering is
the main reason I hate them... and WHY do they goober 1280x960 to 1280x1024? 
Can't they just leave 32 blank pixels top and bottom?  Oh noooooo... can't do
THAT!

(1280x960 is commonly used by full-screen console windows and many games...
mostly because it's a perfect x2 of 640x480)

My dream LCD monitor would only streach perfect multiples.
