Bear in mind also that you just as well use the highest resolution only. With LCD screens, it doesn't have multiple resolutions, the other modes are just emulated based off the other. Eg. if it supports 1024x768, and you switch to 800x600, you'll get a bigger border.... If you switch to 640x480 or so, you will likely get a 1" border with double-wide pixels....
