One day, he decided he was too hot and pulled all the medical what-nots out of his body to walk across the room, tear the locking thermostat cover clean off the wall, adjust the board to hold a comfortable temperature no matter what the actual LCD display was set at (he's been a master HVAC engineer for 30+ years), and crawled back into bed. The hospital staffs' faces were priceless. They had no idea what to do. Ultimately, they just left it as he put it until he went home.
