I have actually gotten so lazy with the > design I just trim the feedline back, solder the center lead to one side > of the J and the shield to the other and lay the coax seal to it. I strip back the outer vinyl, to expose the shield/braid. Then I spread the braid to create a hole in it at one side, and pull the dielectric and center conductor through the hole. Then I strip the end off the dielectric, and solder the center wire straight to the SO-239 center and run the braid to one of the four mounting bolts. If I have a solder tab I solder the braid to that and then put the bolt through the tab. Yeah, Coax-Seal is tough to beat. --- þ Synchronet þ CQ DX! The ANJO BBS calling on 56K dial-up... .
