  I printed your post and will check out your picture on anjo.

  Another problem with building like I do is attatching a SO-239 to the pipe
  and keeping it weather proof. I have actually gotten so lazy with the 
  design I just trim the feedline back, solder the center lead to one side
  of the J and the shield to the other and lay the coax seal to it.

  I'm goind to build one of the PVC antennas and give it a try.
