   I've never built a J-Pole out of wire and PVC but I'm sure they work 
  great. I love them. I've built them out of copper pipe. A point of 
  contention with the J-pole. "In this neck of the woods anyhow is."

   Are they truly omni? Some say they are, Some say the are slightly
  directional. If they are, Where is the gain lobe related to the
  antenna?

   Just wondering if you have ever seen any published radiation patterns
  on this type antenna?
