It cracks me up that people are so inconsiderate as to assume that 
everyone has a 300 gig hard disk and 4 megabits of bandwidth.  As it 
happens, I have only 155 meg (not gig) available on this machine, and not 
all avaiolable to the BBS.  And my connection is dial-up, for which I pay 
considerably more than 40 bucks a month.

Once upon a time, BBS users were considerate of the different 
circumstances of others, and made the attempt to conserve space, time, 
bandwidth and money.  Amateur radio operators (at least those who don't 
think a HT is all there is to amateur radio) were even more accustomed to 
being considerate to fellow network users.

So sure!  Tell your friend to post what he likes, because it doesn't 
bother *YOU* and, typically, *YOU* is all you care about.  And if I'm 
bitching about not getting any pussy, it's because the pussy is on here 
posting about their 300 gig hard drives, and internet connections!
