As an example, the > National Weather Services' Flash Flood Safety campaign stresses "Turn > Around...Don't Drown". Basically, if you come to a flooded road, turn Yes, and that's a good thing. Flooding is one of our major weather concerns here. We're so far inland the Hurricanes can't do much wind damage but the heavy rains wreck havoc on us here in the Appalachian Mountians. The mountains are so steep the rainfall runs off very fast and severe flooding results. The danger to driving on a flooded road way here is that the road is often just adjacent to a flooded stream and the high water usually undercuts and washes out the road. With the road under water you have no way of knowing this and when you enter thinking the roads is only under a little water you go into the washed out area and then into the flooded stream. This is a very valid safety note you make. > Good luck on finding something with their products.
