What do >you know about home weather stations? I have a Oregon Scientific WMR-968 that >I have used for about 3 years now. It's an OK station with decent resolution >on measurements. It's rain gauge just failed and I'm looking for something >else. The Davis gear is awfully high. If you or anyone reading has experience >with it that would indicate over time it is a worthwhile buy I'd like to >hear. I'm trying to decide if I should replace with what I have or go >Davis... I had the ULTIMETER weather station from Peet Brothers for several years...but I think lightning got it one day. It was an older model, but I rarely had a problem with it...except changing the batteries for it every so often. Check www.peetbros.com -- they have good equipment. I think they're still in business. However, living in a rental apartment with the wife now...we can't have any outside stuff. It's just as well...lightning seems to follow me everywhere I go...I've been indirectly struck twice, and been under a tornadic funnel cloud once. As a result, I really can't watch weather videos (especially tornadoes) anymore...that gives me nightmares. --- þ OLX 1.53 þ This BBS is a Safe Internet Alternative...NO ADULT FILES. þ Synchronet þ The Thunderbolt BBS - wx1der.dyndns.org .
