Now, if you're going to make stuff up, surely you can do a better job than 
that?

I raised no objection to the original post which was longish, but on topic 
and of value.  I simply objected *gently* to your re-posting the entire 
thing as a quote.

Which is why I made no objection to it.  I've seen people overdo it, by 
posting interminable, long, boring ARRL bulletins several times a day.  
But you certainly heard no objection from *me* on a postnthat dealt with 
hurricane activity in the Caribbean!

I can't see why.  He *must* have the sense to know that my objection was 
not to his post but to your unnecessary quote.
