I have one of those (not RS, it's a Midland) made in the 70s... It works OK.

Useless for measuring output power, but SWR is relative anyway. I've checked
it's numbers against my dad's Bird wattmeter, and it's pretty close.

You have to check 70CM in short bursts though for some reason, or the readings
change. I think something heats up in there. :)
