I started out with a dual band 2m/70cm radio. I have learned that there
are many repeaters on 2m. More than any other band.

If you live in a rural area, this would be an important consideration.

Down a notch is 6m and longer ranges might make QSO's more likely. Some
DXing is possible too.

If you have a local club, ask for some advise there.

I know you may have questions for me,
