You are preaching to the choir.  

I honestly don't know why the USA wanders the highways and byways of the world
looking for people to give handouts to.  I mean, once you start that, you are
going to get people coming back again, and again, and again.

 I don't know about closing the borders, because _trade_ is a _good_ thing
IMHO, but what's the point of giving away loot to people who don't really
appreciate the gift and don't respect you before *OR* after?  Why is it that
thousands of illegal aliens a day cross the border into the USA and can't be
deported?  THROW THEM BACK INTO THE SEA AND TELL THEM TO START SWIMMING!  A
couple years ago, after a big flood somewhere (India?  Pakistan?) the USA gave
1.8 billion (with a B!) in aid and the bastards complained that it wasn't
enough.  Hell, I'd have taken the 1.8B back, and told them to kiss my yanqui
arse!

Hey, I didn't mean to upset you.  My comment about "any american with a buck"
buying a radio and crapping on the HF bands was a comment to the post about
unregulated radio amateurs.  Like it or not, the CB band was rendered into a
cesspool by the lack of regulation, and deregulating amateur radio would have
the same effect -- only with bigger linears and longer range.  And it was
America (according to the post) that was deregulating.  If it was (supposedly)
Britain, I'd have been talking about "any limey with a quid".
