That post was an April Fools Joke, but you knew that. :) Are there that many Americans with money any more. O Well, since everything comes from China, it won't take that much money. But not to worry, if Broadband over Powerlines (BPL) takes hold, there won't be anyone in America that will be able to hear anything on HF Ham or Short Wave! In fact everything below 60 MHz will be wiped out with electronic buzzs and tones and noise and it seems like it is being rail roaded down our throats despite reasonable complaints from experts. So we will lose Long Wave, Medium Wave and Short Wave and the lower part of VHF and so everyone can plug their computer into a wall outlet and surf the High Speed internet for only $30 a month. Thank those Rich Americans at the Power Company, oh wait, it was first tried in Japan and then in Europe...guess we can't blame the ugly Americans for creating this beast, only perpetuating it. Well, I would type more, but I am going to go close out my bank account taking hte whopping total of $800 and spend my vast Amaerican Weath on buying a kilowatt linear amp so I can broadcast Jimi Hendrix Star Spangled Banner to the Islands in the Tropical Atlantic letting them know we rich ugly Americans are still here. Awe gez...no I can't do that this week, I need to pay my taxes to our Government so they can pay off the leaders of other countries who's people really despise us. Yeah, it's really getting old. America has the market cornered on rich a$$-holes. Don't we. I know we might not be perfect up here, and their is some screwed up $h!+ going on and and a lot of us are trying to make things right but something to think about, a lot of what goes on here is deeply intwined with people around the world who are not Americans. A lot of us get the shitty end of the stick and a lot of deals. A lot of our jobs are gone....things change... So when the world jumps on the hate America band wagon, it is so cool to do, remember if you drag us down, the next time you get into deep $h!+, the next Adolf Hitler or major threat...are you going to pull out of it on your own. I personally would like to stop paying the worlds bill. There are a lot of rich people here, it is a BIG FRICKIN' COUNTRY, but the majority of us a regualr working stiffs making it from pay check to pay check, getting over taxed for services we don't get. But I guess we are not POOR if you look at it like living in a MUD HUT mkind of thing. But it is popular to think that the only way America became a rich nation is to think we did it by some how scewing the rest of the world and not by our hard work and industrious nature of the American worker. I am sorry to pop the bubble, but a lot of us work our @$$ OFF, and for very little. Recent studies showed American workers who still have jobs work longer and harder than any other country. I personally would like to work less and not have my tax money being given to every frickin' country with their hand out. The UN can support themselves. Let your country pay the worlds bill casue I am sick of it. I owuld love to see us close the boarders and stop importing, we are big enough to make our own food and products and we have the technology to produce our own energy. We really don't need anything. We start producing our own products and everyone will be working again. We stop giving our money away to the world and we all start living better. We will stop dealing with other countries, that will make the world happy. I know it would make many American workers happy. I am not directing this totally at you Angus, but I will understand if you choose to never speak to me again. But I did not start this and have never made comments about Rich Barbadians who live in their tropical paradise and what .
