HAM Radio is a different service than SHort Wave Broadcast stations. Short Wave
stations are more like a commercial AM Broadcast station except the frequencies
tend to allow for worldwide coverage (like HAM radio HF).

The frequencies behave very similar to each other, but the nature of the radio
service is very different.
