It depends, it seems to me, that a congressman has a duty to "serve" their public... to that end, there are differing opinions of their constituents, so their own views will sway that.. as long as they are honest with it... Voting in favor of everything a popular president puts forward despite what they believe is in their constituents' best interest, then passing the buck, so to speak is wrong... I don't mind if someone says, "this is how I feel, and this is in what respect I will represent you.." and gets elected, and follows through, is a bit different than, "I'm for the working man..." in the campaign, and voting differently at every turn... imo, it comes down to honesty... it's not a black and white thing, or a dem/rep thing, it just is what it is. -- Michael J.
