Peter was a "victim" of bad intelligence as well as everyone else.

Even the agents that whose job it was to find pickled peppers and who had 
finally (thanks almost solely to the US) got real cooperation from Iraq, did not 
believe there were pickled peppers there!
(after all, don't you pick the peppers then pickle them?)

You have evidence that a raccoon can live up to 12 years?  If so, the American 
public would love to see that (as well as the intelligence agencies that were 
responsible for the erroneous information).  Please do cite your sources.
