That's it?  The speculative thoughts of some low-level foreign affairs civil
servant?  Of course Bush was dealing with the reality of having to invade Iraq.
He had already put Iraq on notice for their non-compliance with UN sanctions,
and he knew he had an uphill battle with the impotent UN in achieving
compliance with those sanctions.  I know for a fact there are REAMS of data
indicating Iraq had a viable WMD program and was actively working on the means
to deliver it, and you want to present some low-level bureacrat's obviously
jaded opinion as evidence to the contrary?  The military had just spent the
prior decade in the sky above there gathering data!

I can understand the anti-Bush lemmings getting duped like this, Angus... but
you surprise me unless you're being disingenuous.
