Graduation rate, literacy rate of graduates, percent of graduates who goto college? My fiancee works for a local private school with 100% on all three of these, but it's almost $8K/year to send a kid there. If I were a parent who lived in a sub-par school district paying taxes that went to that sub-par school, and I opted to send my kids to private school, I say give me a cut on the taxes. Something else along these lines and a hot debate in my local area is what they call the Robinhood Law (or something like that) where they take money from the richer school districts and give it to the poorer ones. I'm totally not in agreement with that.
