Well when I ran Telegard, I used Front door, and for a while Dbridge, but I
found Fidonet to be rather complicated to maintain and mess with.  So many
things to check, so many little things to set or tweek.  Now Dove-net, I like
theat a lot, and I will eventually be carying more message networks.  
I think for me, it's not the Ansi, obviously, but rather the ability to try
installing new things or having the chance to tinker with things, or customize
aspects of your bbs.
