Well Dave that's an interesting question.  I've just put mine back up again and
although I don't have tons of doors on it, I think perhaps they take it down
because they have a problem dealing with the disapointment of not having users
flocking in, or they have a crash, or something.
Or they just downloaded it, tried it, and got frustrated with setting it up,
although Synch is great since it almost runs completely out-of-the-box.
I'da'know.
