I mainly download TV shows I missed or can't get locally, and torrents work great. I just search for the showname and 'torrent' in google, and it almost always works. I don't download Mp3s. For Apps, most things Linux are free and I use #macfilez on efnet (IRC). So the big question is what are you downloading?
